Melanie Bauer

Tega Cay, S.C - Melanie Bauer, 71, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 09, 2024. She was born on February 10, 1952, a daughter of the late E. Celeste (Twiford) and Harry Charles McNamee.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Fred Bauer; daughter, Alexandra Jernigan and her husband, James; and sisters, Maureen Homme and Michele Ogren and her husband, Arthur; and nine nieces and nephews.

Melanie was a loving wife and mother. She worked in public education as a first grade teacher and curriculum coordinator before becoming a devoted stay-at-home mom. Melanie found immense joy in vacationing with her family in Disney World, reading, and decorating her home for holidays throughout the year. Her dogs always held a special place in her heart.
