Mary Stephenson

Chester - Mrs. Mary Lucretia Austin Stephenson, 78, died Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Chester Regional Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, at First ARP, 201 E. White Street, Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive friends following the service.

A native of Chester, Mrs. Stephenson was a daughter of the late Wilmoth Ruth Austin Varnadore. She was the widow of Big Steve Stephenson and they had been the owners and operators of S & H Automotive. She was an avid painter and loved to work with oil paints.

Surviving are three sons, Stevie Stephenson, Mike Stephenson and David Stephenson; two sisters, Frances Tallant and Betty Ann Griffin; and three grandchildren, Griffen Stephenson, Jon Meadows and Mary Karen Meadows.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Chester Regional Nursing Center, 1 Medical Park Drive, Chester, SC 29706.
