Mary Warren Phifer, 84, of Fort Mill went home to be with the Lord on May 26, 2026. Mary will be remembered for her faith in God as well as being a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and faithful friend. She was known for her strong work ethic, sage advice and community service. Mary loved learning about & traveling to new places, food, reading books, gardening and just being outdoors.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Cheryl Totherow, Alex Phifer (Paige), and Janet Swearngan (Dorran); grand-children C.R., Elizabeth, Merea, Marcus, Aaron and Luke; great grand-children Maggie, Kendall, Dalton, Wes, Randell, David, Aiden, Jacob, Issac and Alana. She is also survived by her brother Robert and sisters Patricia, Linda and Margaret and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie Phifer, parents Benjamin & Lillie Warren, brothers Benjamin, James, John, Melton and Thomas and sisters Ruby and Sandra.

Her celebration of life service will be held on June 14, 2026 at 3:00pm at Glenrock Baptist Church, 1815 North Dobys Bridge Rd, Fort Mill, SC 29715. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make a memorial donation to the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, 2275 India Hook Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
