Mary Ann Boone

Mary Ann Boone (nee McKinney), 69, of Rock Hill, SC, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015. Boone, a native of Youngstown, OH, was raised in Girard and Oberlin, OH. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Kenneth "Tom" Boone; four daughters Tracie Rhodes Edwards, Cynthia Rhodes LeVert, Mika Rhodes and Kristin Boone; step-daughter Jenise (Kim Allen) Veris and step-son Kenneth C. Boone; 11 grandchildren Taylor Edwards, Aaron Edwards, Kaidyn LeVert, Christian Rhodes, Rian Olivia Rhodes, Andrew Green, Kara Boone, Kristin Alexa Martin, Keania Boone, Justin Veris and Kyle Veris; four great-grandchildren, Kailee Williams, Kylin Williams, Sadie Vines and Taliyah Edwards; her mother Mamie McKinney; eight sisters Esther Walker, Ruth Dotson, Calvesta Walker, JoAnna McKinney, Darlene McKinney, Christine McKinney, Delores Dykes and Mary Magdalene McKinney; three brothers James McKinney, Joseph McKinney and David McKinney. Her father L. Douglas McKinney and two sisters, Elizabeth and Caroline McKinney, predeceased her. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 7, at 10:00 a.m., at White Hill AME Zion Church, 2255 Old York Road, York, SC 29745, 803-684-9173. There will be no viewing.
