Mary Pamela Board, 82, a 1962 graduate of Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Pam was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of strong Catholic faith. She lived a beautiful and full life, making her home in South Buffalo, New York; Chester, New Jersey; and eventually St. Michaels, Maryland.

At the center of Pam’s life was her beloved husband, Kenneth Board Jr. Their marriage of 62 years was truly one of a kind. The love they shared was deep, joyful, and unmistakable. They loved each other with a devotion that touched everyone around them. Their affection for one another was infectious, and the bond they shared was like no other. Through all of life’s joys and challenges, they remained devoted to one another, and their love was a beautiful example of what it means to truly cherish your partner.

Pam had a true gift for bringing people together. She loved to cook and entertain and took great joy in welcoming family and friends into her home. Her love of food and hospitality also led to a catering business, allowing her to share her talents and love of entertaining with others. Most of all, she will be remembered for the extraordinary love she shared with Kenneth and the love she gave so freely to her family.

Pam enjoyed being active in her community. She volunteered at Father Baker’s and at West Seneca State School in the baby nursery. She was a member of the West Seneca Women’s Club and taught religion at St. Catherine’s Church. Pam was also a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, St. Michaels Women’s Club, and Christmas in St. Michaels, where she enjoyed friendship, fellowship, and making wonderful memories.

One of Pam’s greatest joys was traveling with Kenneth and their children. She treasured the places they visited, the experiences they shared, and, most of all, the time spent together as a family.

Pam lived with Alzheimer’s disease, facing the challenges of the illness with courage and grace. Although the disease gradually took away many of her memories, it could never take away the love she gave or the beautiful memories she created for those who knew and loved her.

Pam is survived by her beloved husband, Ken Board Jr.; her children, Juliane Christman and her husband, Harry; Elizabeth Chatterton and her husband, Keith; Emily Herman and her husband, Jay; and Ken Board III and his wife, Maria; and her grandchildren, Colby, Lydia, Luke, Vanessa, Dylan, Parker, and Reese.

Pam was preceded in death by her parents, C. John and Louise Crane; her grandson, Jack Christman; and her siblings, Pat, Jeanne, Jim, and John.

Her life was a gift, her love was her legacy, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.

May Pam rest in eternal peace, surrounded by God’s love and reunited with those who went before her. Her love will remain forever—in the heart of her husband, in her children and grandchildren, and in all those fortunate enough to have known her.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Pam will be celebrated on November 3, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Annapolis, Maryland.
