Markel Lamont Carter Sr.

Markel Lamont Carter, Sr., 51, of Portsmouth, VA and formerly of Buffalo, NY, passed away suddenly Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. He was born December 17, 1965 in Buffalo, NY, son of the late John T. and Carolyn Ann Brown Carter. Markel proudly served his country in the United States Army and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Markel Lamont Carter, Jr. and wife, Martina; daughters, Natasha McMillon and husband, Terrance, Gianna Carter and Skylar Adams; 6 grandchildren; and sisters, Angela Carter and Carol Carter. A Graveside Service will take place at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC at a later date. Online condolences may be registered at www.basscares.com.
