Margery Claire Barenti Pizzuto

Margery Claire Barenti Pizzuto, 81, of Fort Mill, SC, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Until the end she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margery was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1944 to Abraham and Betty (Bell) Barenti. She attended the University of Alabama before moving to Massachusetts where she met her husband David Pizzuto. Margery and David married on January 25, 1969 and settled in Brockton, MA for the next 40 years. In 2010 Margery and David retired and spent the rest of their days in Fort Mill, SC.

Margery enjoyed playing cards with her friends, spending time with her loving family and was even President of her neighborhood HOA. Although the temperature was never correct in a restaurant, she loved to be a lady who lunched.

She was preceded in death by her husband David. She is survived by her Son Matthew Pizzuto of Leesburg, FL, Daughter Lara Duernberger, and her Husband Gordon of Indian Land, SC. Six Grandchildren, Amy Andre and her husband Joseph of Taunton, MA, Nicholas Pizzuto and his wife Katherine, of Webster, FL, Brynn Duernberger of Charleston, SC, Chloe Duernberger of Indian Land, SC, Ryan Duernberger of Indian Land, SC, and Vincent Pizzuto of Leesburg, FL. She is also survived by her three great grandchildren Ethan Andre, Evan Andre, and Benjamin Pizzuto.
