Marcia Navarrete, 83, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026.

She was born on October 10, 1942, in New London, Wisconsin, to Cecilia and Dr. Chris Arnoldussen, MD.

Marcia was raised in Waupaca and Appleton, Wisconsin, where she developed a lifelong love of learning and family. She attended Marquette University and went on to work as a dental hygienist, a profession through which she cared for others with kindness.

On June 23, 1962, she married Jack Navarrete in Appleton, WI. They shared many happy years together, including multiple moves across the country, which provided various adventures. They started their retirement in northern Illinois until Jack’s passing in 2015. Marcia was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Dr. Thomas Arnoldussen, PhD who passed away in 2025, and her sister, Mary Lynn Arnoldussen, who passed away in childhood.

Marcia found great joy in storytelling, crafting, reading about history, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her warmth, wisdom, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her four children Kim (Jigar) Gandhi, Lisa Weber, Sherri (Tommy) Baumley and Daniel (Kristen) Navarrete; her grandchildren Zack (Amy Gutting) Mucha, Chelsea Mucha, Raj Gandhi, Katie (Kory) Hayes, Kristi Weber, AJ Baumley, Ryan Baumley, Devin Navarrete, Naya Navarrete and Lena Navarrete; her great grandchildren Artemis, Harper, and Cassius; her brother Richard (the late Darlene) Arnoldussen, brother Robert (Judy) Arnoldussen, and sister-in-law Barbara (the late Thomas) Arnoldussen, RN, DBA, who will all carry her memory forward with love.

A private service will be held by the family.
