Obituary

Linda Bingham Brookover, 77, of Rock Hill, SC passed away peacefully at home on August 28, , 2026 surrounded by family. She was born August 11, 1949 in Washington, IN to Paul and Hazel Bingham (Eichmiller).

After living in various states with her parents during her school years, Linda graduated high school in Point Marion, PA in 1967 and spent the majority of her adulthood rooted in Rock Hill, SC. For over 30 years, she worked in the hospitality and food-service industry. Her customers were never strangers and many became dear friends over the years.

Beyond her work, Linda was known for her strong opinions, wittiness, storytelling, and great cooking. She loved painting, sketching, reading, gardening, puzzles and games, and she would go fishing any time someone would show up with poles. She loved going to the beach, especially with her beloved grandchildren.

She was a member of The Body Church in Rock Hill and enjoyed participating in their community outreach programs. She was also a Board Member of her community’s Home Owners Association.

She is survived by her loving children: Marshall (Katrina) Brookover, of Rock Hill, SC; Wesley (Somer) Brookover, of Belmont, NC; Ryan (Brandy) Brookover, of Fort Mill, SC; her loving grandchildren: Jarred Brookover, Karly (Parker) Davis, Jake Brookover, Marly Brookover, and Aubree Brookover; her brother, Robert (Erin) Bingham of Crouse, NC; sister-in law, Cathy Bingham of Nashville, TN; nieces: Jamie, Jessica and Jordan Bingham and nephews: Brad and Matt Bingham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Douglas Bingham.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to all the staff of Providence Care, her beloved church family, neighbors and friends for their compassion and support. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home in Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive friends at 3pm with services starting at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Providence Care of Rock Hill or Hospice & Community Care of Rock Hill.
