Lee Grover Sexton, lovingly known as Lee to his family and friends, was born on January 16, 1989. Lee will be remembered for his laid-back personality, quick wit, adventurous spirit, and the way he could always make people laugh.
A visitation will be held at Whitesell Funeral Home on Friday, November 6, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories and celebrate Lee’s life. A private family service will be held separately.
Lee was truly one of a kind. He had the best sense of humor and was just a genuinely good person. He never took life too seriously and was always up for an adventure, even if it meant doing something a little dangerous. His easygoing personality and unforgettable sense of humor made him someone people simply loved being around.
Lee didn't need much to be happy. He was simple in the best way and found happiness in the freedom of the outdoors, spending time with the people he loved, and living life on his own terms.
Lee was a pipe fitter and welder by trade and spent many years working in the plumbing industry alongside his dad, Grover, and his brother, Trent. But without a doubt, his greatest accomplishment and biggest source of pride was his sweet daughter, Leighton Virginia Sexton.
Lee loved Leighton with his whole heart, and she adored her daddy just as much. The bond they shared was something truly special. She will forever carry his love with her, along with all the memories of the dad who loved her more than anything.
To his nieces and nephews, Lee was the fun, crazy uncle, the one with the jokes, the laughter, and the adventures. Whether it was camping out all night, fishing, or just getting into something together, time with Uncle Lee meant there was a memory to be made. Those are memories they will carry with them forever.
Lee leaves behind his adored daughter, Leighton; his parents, Grover and Beth Sexton; his siblings, Carrie Broome (James), Trent Sexton (Jordon), and his baby sister, Kelli Sexton (Trey); and his grandmother, Genevieve Beach. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will forever remember and miss their fun-loving, crazy Uncle Lee.
Lee was preceded in death by his Granddaddy, Robert Lee Beach; his Papaw, Richard Sexton; and his Mamaw, Nancy Sexton.
Lee will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him. His time here was not nearly long enough, but the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
He may be gone from our sight, but he will never be forgotten.
Until we meet again.
