Kenneth Ronald Whisonant

Rock Hill - Mr. Kenneth Ronald Whisonant, 79, of 717 Painted Lady Court, died Tuesday, January 03, 2017, at his home.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Catawba Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Richardson and Rev. Church Trammel officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Whisonant was a son of the late Arthur C Whisonant and Lee Merritt Whisonant. Mr. Whisonant will be remembered as a faithful and loving husband to his wife of 58 years, Janice Whisonant. He was a faithful Christian and member of Catawba Baptist Church. He was a strong and loving Father not only to his two children but also two grandsons whom he helped raise. He was a collector of historical items and antiques.

Surviving are his wife, Janice H. Whisonant; a son, Jeff K Whisonant (Lori); a daughter, Allison W. Craig (Kenneth); a brother, Keith Whisonant (Michelle); five grandchildren, Jeremy, Scott, Megan, Stacy and Chris; two great-grandchildren, HayLeigh and Tripp; and a special family friend, Lisa S Allen.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
