Kenneth Wayne Phillips, Sr

Indian Land – Mr. Kenneth “Ken” Wayne Phillips, Sr., 68, died Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Memorial services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29708.  The family will receive friends following the service.

A native of Rock Hill, SC Mr. Phillips was a son of the late James Wylie Phillips and Helen Bradley Phillips. Ken touched many lives within his 68 years and left a wonderful impression among all whom he had the opportunity to interact with personally.  He will be remembered as a man who loved being outdoors – hunting, fishing, trapping and just simply spending time in nature.

Surviving is his wife, Melissa Gordon Phillips of 37 years wonderful years; a great, wonderful father to his three children, Kenneth W. Phillip, Jr. (Trisha), Chris Phillips, and Angela J. McDowell (Kiley); along with his seven grandchildren, Ryan, Kayla, Brandon, J.C., AnnaBelle , Morgan and Kourtney; along with his two great-grandkids, Ariana and Bryson; and his brother, David Phillips (Karen).  He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Phillips and a sister, Linda P. West.

Ken passed from this life doing what he loved, which was just like he lived: he wrote his own rules and paved his own way.  If you said he could not do it, he would make sure he could. He will be remembered as a man who had a heart of gold.
