Kenneth Glenn Godfrey

Blacksburg, SC – Kenneth “Ken” Glenn Godfrey, 68, passed away on December 13, 2024, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.

Born in Mecklenburg County, NC, he is the son of the late Warren Godfrey and Janice Bost Cook. Ken was a Forman Painter for Charlotte Paint, Inc. for 30 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and friend. He enjoyed sports and played soft ball (left-handed pitcher) and was a horseshoe player and an Atlanta Braves fan. He was married to his loving wife Paula for 41 years and was a fine family man.

Surviving is his wife, Paula “Marlene” Carpenter Godfrey; sons, Michael Godfrey, Rowdy Parker and Eric Parker; brothers, Howard “Bo” Godfrey and Kenny Cook; sister, Margaret (Michael) Jeff; granddaughters, Taylor Godfrey and Erica Parker; grandson, Kasey Godfrey; four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Ava, Ariana and Jaxon. He is preceded in death by his sons, Chad Godfrey and Scott “Scotty” Godfrey, and a sister, Cindy Godfrey.
