Kenneth G. Collins

RICHBURG - Kenneth Gaston Collins, 65, of 3885 Alpaloosa Ridge, died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, at Whitesell Funeral Home, with burial in the Lando Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Born in Chester Co., Kenneth is the son of the late Samuel and Helen Broome Collins. He was retired from Guardian Glass and was a past employee of AVA Industries. As a U.S. Army veteran, he served a tour of duty in Viet Nam and was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

He is survived by five brothers, Edward Collins, Jimmy Collins, Steve Collins (Joan), Charles Collins (Kay), and Wayne Collins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Hooks Collins.
