Katherine Mendoza, 36, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, following a tragic accident. Born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and raised on Long Island, New York, Katherine eventually made her home in South Carolina, where she touched the lives of everyone she encountered.

Katherine was truly beautiful inside and out. She was a beautiful soul—kind, loving, and incredibly generous. Those who knew her will forever remember her bright smile and her remarkable presence, which brought a sense of joy to anyone who had the honor of meeting her. She was full of life, and her absence leaves a profound stillness in the hearts of those she left behind.

A Life of Purpose

Katherine’s greatest devotion was to her sons and her family. She was resilient and hard working, with a serving soul and giving heart. She lived every day for those she loved, leaving behind a legacy of strength and selflessness.

She is survived by her two cherished sons, Zachary and Elijah, who were her world; her loving husband, Carlos Ramos; her devoted parents, Rosibel and Nory; her siblings; and an extensive and loving family of aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Services and Gathering

Family and friends are invited to gather to honor Katherine’s memory and celebrate the light she brought into the world. Arrangements are being handled by Palmetto Funeral Group.

A visitation will be held at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The family asks those attending to wear black.

The funeral service will be held at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM with a burial to follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens. The family asks those attending to wear white. 

Following the funeral service, a family gathering will be held to continue celebrating Katherine’s life at her home: 2999 Glenstone Dr, Rock Hill, SC 29730

Katherine era verdaderamente bella, tanto por dentro como por fuera. Era un alma hermosa: amable, amorosa e increíblemente generosa.
