Obituary

Judith Karen Edmonds,
Judith Karen Edmonds, age 72, went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on August 6,2026, in Ballantyne, North Carolina.

Early Life And Family

Judith Karen was born on February 22,1954, In Cincinnati, Ohio, the youngest child of Melvin J. Dwyer and Edna W. Dwyer (Henderson). Known to most as Judi. She spent her early years with her parents in Cincinnati.

Hospitality, Creativity, and Faith

Judi was known for her Sunday morning brunches, when her home filled with the aroma of homemade cinnamon rolls, breads, and the plumpest, flakiest biscuits around.  Through her baked goods, she nourished both body and spirit; through her crocheted quilts and prayer shawls, she brought comfort and warmth to others.

Those who knew Judi best will remember her infectious smile, zest for life, and generous heart.  She loved people and never met a stranger.  Cooking, sewing, and welcoming others into her home were among her greatest joys.

A Career of Service

Alongside caring for her family and community, Judi built a successful career in customer service.  As a regional account manager for a major corporation, she traveled throughout four Midwestern states.  Before retiring, she served as a customer service and public relations manager for a luxury mall.

Judi treasured the opportunity to meet people from around the world.  She called her workplace her greatest mission field, because it allowed her to pray for the many people she encountered.

Judi touched many, many lives wherever she was.

She is survived by her sister, Pam Caudell of Vero Beach, Florida; her brother, Jerry Dwyer and his wife, Tina, of Cincinnati, Ohio; Scott, Andrea, and Lilly Davis of Charlotte, North Carolina; Brenda Rogers of Charlotte, North Carolina, Robert and Michelle Rogers of Daphne, AL; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews spread across the country.

Judi's greatest legacy lives on through her husband, Raymond, and her son, Jonathan.  She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.  Judi openly shared her love for Jesus and the Gospel.  Devoted to God throughout her life, she is now living eternally with Him.

A celebration of Judi's life will be given at South Brook Community Church, 5607 Monroe-Weddington Road, Weddington, NC 28104 (704-821 8600).  The date is yet to be determined.
