Judith Ann Eburg “Judy” 84, of Rock Hill, SC and formerly of Guilford, CT passed on to be with her Lord and Savior to her eternal home Tuesday July 8, 2025 at home with her family. She was born December 31, 1940 in New Haven, CT and daughter of Clarence Perkins and Evelyn Morton.
Judy was one of seven siblings and preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Perkins, David Perkins and Brad Perkins.
She loved fishing, Casino Poker, playing Bingo and strategy games on her computer and looked forward to playing cards and dominos on Friday nights with her daughter and son-in-law and had a deep passion for reading. Judy loved her cows and birds when visiting her daughter in KY and the ocean and Cribbage when in Myrtle beach with her sons. Getting together with her family always made her smile and brought great joy to her heart. She really loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever she could. She was an avid Giants Fan with her son Dan and never missed a Nascar Race. You would find her watching and hooting for her favorite driver Joey Lagano, of course from CT.
Judy always took care of herself and was proud of her independence and sound mind and that she was able to drive, read and handle her own finances right up until she left us to join the Lord on Tuesday. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing and spent a lifetime caring for others. Throughout her career, she nursed children, elderly and terminally ill patients with compassion and integrity. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. She spoke to God, her daughter Alisha and Charlie every morning with her coffee and believed she would one day join them.
Judy is survived by her sister Gweneth and brothers Ronnie and Mike; her sons Peter Brockett and Daniel Brockett and her daughters Paula Burchard Horton and Bonnie Jablonski along with her daughter-in-law Sheila Brockett and son-in-law’s John Horton and Tony Jablonski; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, whom she loved much.
While her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends, the profound impact she had on the lives of those she touched and cared for will live on forever. Mom, grandmom, GG, and Sister, you are always in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace, we know you are in heaven watching over all of us. We love you mom, to infinity back and beyond!
A Poem of Love
Mother of Kindness, Mother of Love…
Watch over us all from Heaven above…
Love is unconditional, patient and kind…
Glad that you are mom, glad that you are mine…
You never wavered, you never gave up…
You loved your kids, and that’s what’s up…
Your tears are ours, your feelings true…
We will always remember, we will always love you.
We who knew your kindness are blessed. Rest peacefully, Mother.
Love sincerely, your family
There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we are to our family, friends, physicians, pharmacists and paramedics who cared for her over the years and Palmetto Funeral Home for taking such great care of her now. Your compassion and kindness will never be forgotten.
A celebration of life in honor of Judy will be held by the family in CT in December during her favorite time of the year.
