In great sadness, we announce the passing of Joyce Mae Whiting, 82 of Rock Hill, South Carolina and formerly of Harwinton, Connecticut. Joyce passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 in the care of her Daughter, Kelly-Jean Whiting and Granddaughter, Paige D. Whiting.

Born on July 11, 1944, Joyce was preceded in death by her Husband, Charles B. Whiting, Jr.

She leaves behind a family that loved her dearly; Daughter Kelly-Jean Whiting, Son, Charles B. Whiting, III (and wife Emma) Daughter, Ila S. Pfiffer (and husband Alex) Granddaughter, Paige D. Whiting and Grandson, Chandler R. Allen, and a special Daughter-In-Law, Brenda Hanson.

Joyce was an active member of Westminster Church, she was an accomplished gardener, loved the local historical classes and various senior outings with her church family and friends. She leaves a legacy of cherished memories for all that knew and loved her dearly.

Joyce was an example of hard work, strong moral values, love and kindness; her legacy will forever be cherished by her children, grandchildren and all that knew and loved her.

Her family would like to extend their appreciation to Hospice of Rock Hill. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to Hospice Care of Rock Hill.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family.
