Joyce Holston Douglas, 61, of 1663 Ebinport Road, passed away, Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A native of Winston-Salem, NC, Mrs. Douglas was born August 25, 1948 a daughter of the late Robert Gray and Edna Pinnix Holston. She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Eugene Douglas, Sr. and a brother Denny Lee Holston. Surviving are her children Angela M. Kannon and husband Isaac of Belmont, NC, Anita Chambers and husband Keith of Clover, Larry Douglas, Jr. of York, Scotty Douglas and wife Candy of York, Rebecca Goldson and husband Charles. Jr. of Rock Hill; sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Douglas will be held Thursday at 2:00pm at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia with Pastor John Mayberry and Pastor Ronnie Helms officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00pm Thursday at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to: Roddey Baptist Church, PO Box 36, Catawba, SC 29704.
