Indian Land, SC – Mrs. Josephine Bridges Tillman, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 9, 2025, at The Blake at Edgewater.
The family will receive friends 11:00 am Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Restoration Church, 8365 Possum Hollow Rd, Fort Mill, SC 29707 and a graveside service will follow in the cemetery at Noon with the Rev. Jeffery McWatters officiating.
A native of Pineville, NC, Mrs. Tillman was a daughter of the late Talmadge Bryson Bridges, Sr. and Elizabeth Couch Bridges. She and her husband, A. B. Tillman were founding members of Higher Ground Church which later became known as Restoration Church of the Carolinas. She will be remembered as a lady who loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. When she walked through the Pearly Gates of Heavens she was received with a standing ovation.
Surviving are her children, Rick Tillman and his wife, Sharon, and Loretta Epps and her husband, Bob; a daughter-in-law, Beth Tillman; a sister, Peggy Christian; six grandchildren, Stacey Hunt (Doug), Rhonda Wild (Loren), Tal Tillman (Kelley), Tabitha Golder (Nathan), Tyler Tillman, and Maggie Tillman; 10 great-grandchildren, Clay (Bayles), Ally, Josie, Kasey, Luna, Garen, Ari, Caleb, Marley, and Johnny; and a great-great-grandchild, Norah. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. B. Tillman; a son, Curt Tillman; a grandson, Tully Tillman and eight siblings.
