Josephine Shehan Mccurry

Fort Mill – Mrs. Josephine McCurry, 82, died Monday, May 3, 2021, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The family will receive friends 11:00 am Friday at Whitesell Funeral Home and a funeral service will follow at Noon with the Rev. Ron Fite Officiating.  Burial will be in Unity Cemetery.

A native of Woodruff, SC. Mrs. McCurry was a daughter of the late James O Ellenburg and Bertha Mae Shehan Ellenbug.  She was a member of the Rock Hill First Church of the Nazarene.  She was also a pass employee of Springs Industries and Walmart.

Surviving is her son, Wayne McCurry and his wife, Lisa; four grandchildren, Rickey McCurry (Mandy) of Rock Hill, Brett McCurry (Angel) of Fort Mill, Kyle McCurry (Chrissy) of Fort Mill and Angie McCurry (Matt) of Fort Mill; and 10 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe “Bud” Edwards McCurry, Jr.; a grandson, Steven Chapman; and a sister, Guynita Waddell.
