Jonathan R. Nixon, 38, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, in Charlotte, NC. Born on November 20, 1986, in Queens, NY, to Donnell and Florine Nixon, Jonathan was known for his beautiful smile, his generosity, and his unwavering love for his family.

 Jonathan was a proud graduate of South Mecklenburg High School and later attended York Technical School in Rock Hill, SC. A lifelong fan of the NY Knicks and the NY Giants, his passion for sports was only surpassed by his love for his children. He loved them dearly, and their memories of their father's love, kindness, and joyous spirit will live on in their hearts.

 Jonathan was a good friend, had a good heart, and was a good dad who always put others before himself. He was a ray of sunshine in every life he touched. His beautiful smile, love for people, and the warmth of his heart will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.

 He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Florine Morales, great-grandfather James R. Knight; his great-grandmother, Emma Nixon, Uncle Thomas Nixon (Buddy), and Aunt Mary Ruth Nixon.

 Jonathan is survived by his parents, Donnell and Florine Nixon; his four children, Miegwel Nixon, Janelle Nixon, Jaylyn Nixon, and Layla Nixon; his granddaughter Lana; his grandparents, Grandma Ann, Grandma Prude, Dennis Prude and Grandma Kim Prude; his aunts Sonya, Lois, Seleste, and Symone; his uncles Tony and T; and a host of cousins.
