Jo Ann Mccant Mclaren

Jo Ann McCant McLaren entered into eternal life on Monday May 24, 2021.  She was born on January 14, 1947 in McIntyre, Georgia to Rowel Albert and Eunice Etheridge McCant.

She was a resident of Fort Mill, South Carolina but formerly of Milledgeville, Georgia.

Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents, Rowel Albert “Tom” and Eunice McCant and sisters  Viola Ellington, Evelyn Brannon, and Barbara Jean Spires.   She is also preceded in death by honorary grandson Austin Grey.

She leaves a lasting legacy to be cherished by her survivors including her loving husband, Harold McLaren.  She was the mother of three sons David (Lori), Donald (Colleen), and Steven McLaren.  Also her honorary daughter Vanessa Breg.  Jo Ann was the proud grandmother of Lindsey, Taylor, Duncan, and Trianna.  She was honorary grandmother to Zachary, Grey, Nathan Grey, Ethan Cannon, Elodi and Dagmar Breg.  She is also survived by a sister Velma (Ben) Spires, two brothers Al McCant and Tony (Rosa) McCant, two brother-in-laws, Lee (Betty) McLaren and Gary (Cathy) McLaren and sister-in-laws, Sharon (Gerald) Lewis, Beverly McLaren, and honorary sister Susan Spires.

Jo Ann was a member of the Fort Mill Church of God.

Most important to her was her family and church and she will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, honorary grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to many.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Fort Mill Church of God Chapel on Saturday May 29, 2021 at 2pm.  Family will receive friends one hour prior.

Fort Mill Church of God is located at 221 Academy Street, Fort Mill, South Carolina.
