Joan Park, 82, passed peacefully on Tuesday, March 17th at her daughter's home in Rock Hill, SC.

Born in Pennsylvania, Joan graduated from high school, married, and had her children there before moving to Texas in 1980. She met Harry Park and married him in 1981 until his passing in 2019. He was the chief of police in Angleton.

Joan and Harry loved fishing and even had a camp house on the Gulf, which they spent a lot of time at over the years. Joan worked for the county clerk's office till her early retirement due to health reasons in Angleton.

She loved painting and crafts; she had a home filled with handmade treasures that she gladly gave to friends and family all the time. Joan recently moved to South Carolina to stay with her daughter due to her declining health. She made the most of her time in South Carolina and even became a member of Temple Baptist Church in Rock Hill.

Joan leaves behind her son William Wescott and family from Clute, Texas, her daughter Loretta Moore and family of Rock Hill, SC, and stepson Rusty Park and family of Wichita Falls, Texas. She also survived by her sister and three brothers from all over the US! Along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She will be missed greatly for her friendly personality and giving spirit.

Her family will take her to be buried in the near future in Texas next to her husband. No date has been set yet.
