Jimmy Charles Kendall, Sr.

Jimmy Charles Kendall, Sr. , 79, of York, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at home. He was born October 21, 1938 in Charlotte, NC, son of the late Benjamin Reuben & Connie Seymour Kendall.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers & two sisters.

Jimmy retired from Carolinas Medical Center after many years of dedicated service. He loved vacationing at the beach & working on cars. Most important to him was his family & he adored time spent with his grandchildren. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother & friend.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 60 years, Sylvia Jo Swett Kendall; sons, Jimmy Kendall, Jr. (Cara) of York & Chris Kendall of Gastonia, NC; daughters, Darlene Penland of York & Sheila Ledbetter (Robert) of York; brother, Reuben Kendall of NC; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews

Services will be privately held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
