Jim Carol Smothers

Fort Mill – Mr. Jim Carol Smothers, 78, died Saturday, April 3, 2021, at Hospice of Union County, Monroe, NC.

A graveside service will be 2 pm Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Unity Cemetery, Fort Mill, SC with the Rev. Jeffery McWatters officiating.

A native of Chesterfield, SC Mr. Smothers was a son of the late George Washington Smothers and Mary Lee Jenkins Smothers.

Surviving are his brother, Lindsey Smothers; three sisters, Mary Smothers Hunter, Margaret Smothers Heavener, and Brenda Smothers Benton; and three grandchildren, Daylynn, Haley, and Zachery.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Smothers; a sister, Joyce Smothers; a brother, Tommy Smothers; and a sister-in-law, Birdie Smothers.
