Fort Mill, SC – Mr. Jerry Scott Moore, 51, died Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Piedmont Medical Center, Fort Mill.

A memorial service will be 6:00 pm Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Whitesell Funeral Home, 975 Riverview Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

A native of Newport News, VA, Mr. Moore was the second son of the late William Russell Moore and Velma Lee Cox and brother to the late William Russell Moore Jr. Family was always important to him whether it was family dinner night, cooking with his daughters, Tuesday lunch club, or finding a new restaurant to try. Jerry was a longtime employee of Harris Teeter. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He was known for his JUDI’s (Jerry’s Useless Daily Information). His hobbies included listening to an Egyptian History podcast and anything history related. He was an avid Maimi Dolphins fan and Chicago Cubs fan. He was able to check off a bucket list item by going on a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico last fall. Ironically his favorite color was black even though he was color blind. Jerry was known for loving spaghetti.

Surviving are his wife, Kim Moore; two daughters, Zoë Moore and Samatha Moore; and step-mother, Gladys Moore.
