Jennifer Michelle Price

Rock Hill, SC – Jennifer Michelle Price “Jen”, 49, of Rock Hill, SC, and formerly of Jacksonville FL, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at home with her fiancée and father by her side. She was born June 30, 1977, in Carmichaels, PA.

The family will receive friends 1 – 3 pm, Saturday. September 19, 2026, at Whitesell Funeral Home, 975 Riverview Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.

Surviving are her father, Daryl Wayne Guthrie of Rock Hill, SC; her mother, Brenda Lee Guthrie of Uniontown, PA; her fiancée, Justin Ira Lucas of Rock Hill, SC; along with her aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends, colleagues, students, and others whose lives she enriched.

She will be remembered for her brilliance, kindness, strength, humor, and the genuine compassion she offered to everyone she met.

A consummate professional, cherished friend, and beloved member of her community, Jen dedicated her career of more than 23 years to higher education enrollment management, student success, and institutional leadership. Her intelligence, compassion and common sense guided her work and touched countless lives. She was deeply respected and admired by friends, family, faculty members, students, colleagues and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She earned an Ed. D. in higher education leadership, a master’s degree in counseling psychology, and a bachelor’s degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling. Outside of her professional life, she treasured spending time with family and friends. She found joy in cooking, sharing meals, and memories with loved ones, and surrounding herself with her favorite color, purple. Her warmth, generosity, and presence will be profoundly missed.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the hospice nurses, physicians, and staff, her beloved friends and family for their unwavering compassionate and supportive care that was provided. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
