Neal Canty

ROCK HILL- Jeffrey Neal Canty, 45, of 1851 Reservation Road, died Friday, July 30, 2010, at Carolina's Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Catawba First Ward, with Bishop Milton Osborn officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Born in Rock Hill, he is the son of A. Huey Canty and wife Betty W. Canty, and Lee Hunter McCorkle. Neal was a supervisor with the Matthews Construction Co.for over 25 years and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints Catawba First Ward. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle.
In addition to his parents, Neal is survived by his wife, Deidre H. Canty; two daughters, Kathryn Ryan Canty and Taylor Elizabeth Canty; one brother, Huey C. Canty (Rhonda); four sisters, Cathy Herring (Donald Woody), Cindy Edwards (Danny), Jane McDaniel (Steve), and Anita Hinson (Jeff).

He is preceded in death by a niece, Adrene Henderson.

A special thanks to the Hammett family for their love, prayers and time.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Monday at Whitesell Funeral Home.
