Jeff Wade Harris, 89, of Smoaks SC died Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at his home in Okeechobee, Florida.

Jeff was born in Rock Hill, SC and was a son of the late Luther Morgan Harris, Sr. and Pearlie Ayers Harris. He was an Army Veteran who served his Country from 1955-1961. Jeff was a man who loved fishing, traveling with Jan on impromptu travels and his family. He was a member of Word of Life Church in Walterboro S.C.

He is survived by his children, Mary Jo, Jimmy, Chyrl Ann, Jerry; stepdaughters, Dorothy Lee Dejesus and Teri Maldonado Groves; 4 grandchildren, Gloria DeJesus Fennessy, Joseph DeJesus, Alyssa Groves Fallon Groves; Sisters, Ann Brown and her husband, Bill of Westminster, S.C. and Lottie Pruit, of Fingerville, SC; twenty four nieces and thirty nephews.  Mr. Harris was predeceased by his parents; wife; Jan Harris; three sisters, Alice Virginia Harris, Lillian Blue, and Christine Petty; and a brother, Luther Morgan Harris, Jr.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 am Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Whitesell Funeral Home and a funeral service will follow at 11:00 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Colombia S.C. at 2pm.
