James Thomas Wood, Jr

Rock Hill – Mr. James Thomas Wood, Jr., 51, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Atrium Health Pineville, NC.

Memorial services will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Inspiration Baptist Church, 921 Comer Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732 with Pastor Larry Nunn officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. Wood was a son of James Thomas Wood, Sr. and the late Nancy Noland Wood.  He will be remembered as a loving husband and father.  He enjoyed going fishing, kayaking, and family get togethers.  He loved to eat a lot of international foods.  He did the fun run at the Cooper River Bridge, Charleston, SC.   He could speak three languages: English, Spanish and Portugues.  He loved his children, and they were his life.

Surviving in addition to his father, are his wife, Rosania Maria de Vasconcelos Wood; four children, Eduardo de Vasconcelos, Katya Diaz, Katherine Diaz, and James Thomas Wood, III; a brother, Eric Wood (Kim); a sister, Regina Barnes (David); and many nieces and nephews.
