James Carey Reid

On Friday, July 8, 2022, James Carey Reid, 45 passed away at Piedmont Medical center after a brief illness.  He was the son of late James Barber Reid, Jr. and his surviving mother, Hollye Waters Reid.  James is survived by his sister, Whitney Reid and was predeceased in death by his brother, Michael Cameron Reid.

James Carey graduated from Northwestern High School in 1994 and graduated from Full Sail in Orlando, Florida.

He worked as a professional musician and helped care for his mother and sister.

James Carey’s service will be held at 7:00 pm, July 16, at The Gathering Space (behind Kounter Restaurant) 315 E Main St. Rock Hill.
