Ingeborg Anneliese Wilm (nee Gall)
Born September 7, 1936 in Schwerin an der Warthe, Germany
Inge (Ann) had a rich and colorful history during her lifetime, making life-long friends everywhere! During WWII, as a child, she and her family fled the advancing Russian army, andeventually settled in Nord-Rhein Westfalen, Germany in 1953.
In November of 1959 she left West Germany by ship to relocate to the USA, settling in Milwaukee, WI where she married Heinz Wilm. While raising her son Herbert, she started her first job in the USA at Heinemann’s Bakery. She was soon trained as a bookkeeper and while also raising her daughter Marion, became an Office Manager for a variety of housing projects, until she retired. In 1993, she and Heinz moved to Sun City, AZ where she was very active in the German community, including becoming the President of the German-American Friendship Club for many years. She also authored a book about her life’s history.
Inge never lost her wanderlust and passion for traveling, which included taking multiple trips to Germany and Hawaii, as well as taking many Caribbean cruises. In 2021 she moved to the Carolinas to live with Marion. She enjoyed listening to a variety of music and sharing it with others.
Ingeborg peacefully passed through the Heavenly Gates on August 21, 2025 with Marion, Herb and Jane by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, Reinhold and Emilie Gall, older sister Hildegard Hinze (Gall), older brother Gehard Gall and numerous other family members. She is survived by her son Herbert (Jane), daughter Marion and younger brother Eberhard Gall; nephews Detlef and Lutz (Monika) Hinze in Germany and nephews Douglas (Lori), Christopher and Michael Gall in the USA.
