Hilda Scott Swainey

Hilda Scott Swainey, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, just a few months after celebrating her 94th birthday. Born on March 18, 1931, Hilda lived a life full of passion, joy, and unending devotion to her family.

Hilda was an avid sports enthusiast and as a long term resident of Tega Cay she competed in many golf tournaments, croquet matches, the Tega Cay Senior Olympic Games, and enjoyed time spent with great friends playing Bridge, participating in the Red Hat Society and the Women’s Club.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 2:00pm at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, South Carolina, followed by a reception at The Fish Market, Baxter Village. All are invited.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to South Pointe High School Athletics, In Memory of Hilda Swainey, 801 Neely Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina 29730.
