Harold D. Blackwell

Rock Hill - Mr. Harold D. Blackwell, 64, of 2309 Eden Terrace, died Monday, March 28, 2011, at his home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Fort Mill Church of God. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Blackwell was a son of the late Grover William Blackwell and Lillie Collins Blackwell. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Honor Guard VFW Post 2889. He was also a member of the American Legion Frank Roach Post 34. He was a Mason. He was also a member of Fort Mill Church of God.

Surviving are his daughter, Shelia Goff of Rock Hill; two brothers, Herman Blackwell of Fort Mill and David Blackwell of Midland, NC; a sister, Linda Price of Fort Mill and a grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vallaree Blackwell and a grandson, Dustin White.

The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Whitesell Funeral Home.
