Gregory Farris Smith

Union, SC - Mr. Gregory F Smith, Sr., 92, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023 in Union, SC.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Grandview Memorial Park, Rock Hill, SC.

A native of Fort Mill, SC, Gregory was the son of the late Sam and Lonnie Smith.  He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.  He was retired from Georgia Pacific in Catawba, SC.  He was an avid outdoorsman and he loved to hunt and fish.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Harrison Smith (they were married for 65 years before her death).  Surviving are his four children, Cindy Parker (Larry) of Rock Hill, SC; Lynne Saucier (Clay) of York, Sue Neely of Pauline, SC, and Greg Smith, Jr. of Woodruff, SC; a sister, Joann Hooper of Camden, SC; and 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial made be made to Veteran of Foreign Wars, VFW 2889 at 732 West Main Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
