Gloria Burris Self

Gloria B. Self , 82, of Rock Hill, passed away at home on Thursday, April 5, 2018. She was born December 2, 1935 in Rock Hill, SC, daughter of the late Earnest Baxter and Eula McSwain Burris.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Wm. Jerry Self and sisters, Edna Devinney, Pauline Burris and Velma Burris.

She is survived by her daughters, Anita Faulkenberry, Cathy Hensley (Billy), Valerie Self & Pam Hopkins (Billy, Jr.); grandchildren, Andrea Jones (Chris), Kelly Faulkenberry, Tiffany Blakely (Justin), Jenny Moss (Keith), Molly & Billy Hopkins, III; great-grandchildren, Bethany, Ethan, Jaxon, Amelia, Taelor & Olivia; great-great-granddaughter, Isabella; god-children, Summer & Lily; brothers-in-law, David Self (Debbie) & Donnie Self (Margie); sisters-in-law, Frances Mynatt, Eleanor Self, Nancy Self & Christine Self.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Whitesell Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM, Monday, April 9, 2018 at First Wesleyan Church. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
