It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Georgiann Rudnick on August 2, 2026, in Tega Cay, South Carolina. She was 75 years old.

Georgiann was born on February 22, 1951, in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she spent her childhood and young adult years. She married Laurence Rudnick in 1974 and later moved to Illinois, where they built a home and raised their daughter. Georgiann devoted herself to her family as a stay-at-home mother, finding her greatest joy in caring for those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Laurence Rudnick; her parents, Harold and Harriet Mattos; and her brother, Douglas Mattos.

Georgiann is survived by her loving daughter, Karyn O’Regan and her husband, Brian O’Regan; her cherished grandson, Hudson O’Regan, age 10; and her sister, Janis Rodrigues. She also leaves behind extended family and friends who will remember her with love and affection.

Georgiann’s greatest legacy was the love she gave to her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved her.

In accordance with her wishes, no formal services will be held.
