George Ecker

ROCK HILL - George Ecker, 82, of Rock Hill, died Saturday, December 15, 2012, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.

Mr. Ecker was a quiet man who enjoyed woodworking in his spare time and was a dedicated member of The Honor Guard of the American Legion. He loved animals and all wildlife. He was proud to be an American and proud of his time in the Army. He enjoyed watching Westerns, Gunsmoke being his favorite. He liked big band music. After he lost his wife in 2004 the American Legion became his life. He attended many funerals in the Honor Guard and made many great friends. He also enjoyed Turkey shooting with the American Legion. He always had a good sense of humor and will always be remembered for that. He will be greatly missed by many.
