Gene Autry Taylor

Gene Autry Taylor, 72, of 1871 Briarwood Circle, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Piedmont Medical Center. A native of Charlotte, NC, Mr. Taylor was born August 6, 1937 a son of the late William P. and Myrtle Williams Taylor. He was a self-employed house painter and a US Marine veteran. Surviving are his wife Mary Conrad Taylor; a daughter Adrian Taylor of Ft. Mill, two step-sons Wayne VanNostrand of Richburg and Edward J. Wood of Ft. Mill; two brothers Robert Taylor of Hickory, NC and Richard Taylor of Matthews, NC; also seven grandchildren. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Taylor will be held Friday at 3:00pm in the chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Rock Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
