Frederick Glenn Jordan, affectionately known as Freddie or Fred, passed away on Monday, September 7, surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and follower of Christ, he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Fred was born on May 23, 1958, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, to Frederick and Margaret Thomasson Jordan. He served as Director of Regional Sales at Comporium Media Services until his retirement in 2025. Following his retirement, he continued pursuing his passion for sales at Burns Ford of York. His work allowed him to connect with countless people, but it was his approachable personality and the genuine relationships he formed that truly defined him.

For more than 30 years, Fred served as director of the York County Christian Basketball Association. He was also inducted into the South Carolina Basketball Officials Hall of Fame after spending 32 years officiating basketball and volleyball. Fred devoted countless hours to serving others through local organizations and initiatives, including Rolling in the Rock, Habitat for Humanity, and Special Olympics. His commitment to service extended beyond his community through mission work in Mexico, where he helped build schools and irrigation systems, and in Haiti, where he helped build a church.

Above all, Fred treasured his family and friends. The love he shared with them will live on through the many wonderful memories they created together.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Margaret Thomasson Jordan.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Allison Hull Jordan of Rock Hill; his children, Taylor Jordan Ford (Ryan) of Blythewood, South Carolina, Andrew Jordan, Ryan Hunt, Cole Jordan of Rock Hill, South Carolina, Stewart Hunt (Deanna) of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Abigail “Abby” Jordan Howell (Curtis) of Sharon, South Carolina; his grandchildren; his sisters, Ann Jordan Humphries (Dan) and Patti Jordan Howell; and his extended family and countless friends who were blessed to know and love him.

Fred’s earthly journey is complete, but his legacy lives on in every person he loved, every friendship he made, every lesson he taught, and every precious memory we carry with us. His life was a gift, his love was a blessing, and his memory will remain forever in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at Impact Church on Thursday, September 17, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Impact Church (5115 Old York Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina, 29732) in Fred’s honor.
