Eva Barlowe passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at the age of 87.

Born on August 22, 1938, in Forest City, North Carolina, Eva spent 56 years in Greensboro, North Carolina, before living her final years in York County, South Carolina, with her son.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, “Abner” Jack Bost; her mother, Ruth Bost; her sister, Doris Bey; and her daughter, Denise Barlowe.

Eva is survived by her daughter, Vicki Barlowe; her son, Jeffrey Barlowe; and her grandson, Joshua Milligan.

Eva’s life was a tapestry of love, faith, and adventure. She found joy in reading and travel, and her beautiful smile and joyful laugh could light up any room. Known for her warmth and nonjudgmental spirit, she welcomed everyone with open arms. Her strong faith guided her life, and her hugs brought comfort to many.

She loved German shepherds, made unforgettable cornbread, turned every wrong turn into an adventure, and brought joy to everyday moments—whether through her laughter, her sense of adventure, or the care she showed to those around her.

The family finds comfort in their faith and in the memories, she leaves behind.
