Elwin Hope Wilson

Rock Hill - Mr. Elwin Hope Wilson, 76, of 1672 Tillman Street, died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, at Grandview Memorial Park, Cherry Road.

A native of Gaston County, NC, Mr. Wilson was a son of the late Drew Elwin Wilson and Marion McCoy Wilson. He was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Rock Hill. He will be remembered as a good husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He also helped several local small businesses during some hard financial times. He loved to collect antiques especially clocks.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Oliver Wilson; a son, Christopher Hope Wilson, Sr. of Rock Hill; two grandchildren, Christopher Hope Wilson and Robert Andrew Wilson, and a great-granddaughter, Sophie Wilson.

The family will receive friends 5 - 7 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Whitesell Funeral Home.
