Eleanor Marie Mino

February 20, 1926 — June 14, 2025

Fort Mill, SC

An angel on earth, Eleanor Mino, 99, passed away on June 14, 2025, peacefully at home in Fort Mill, South Carolina. She was surrounded by her loving daughters as she burst into purple glitter and began her journey to heaven. She was born on February 20, 1926, the daughter of the late Julian and Frances Ludko in Brooklyn, New York.

Eleanor or Ellie or GG or Snowball or Queen, to those who knew her, was known for her love of dancing, as seen when she took ball room dancing with her grandson at 90 in order to preform a dance for friends and family at her birthday celebration, she loved the spotlight.

Also known for the magic she made in the kitchen, so much she earned the nickname of Mama Meatball. It was truly a feast when she made Sunday dinners.

She became infamous for her fierce competitiveness when it came to family game night. It didn’t matter how old you were (ask her great grandchildren) she still would take you down in order to win! And let’s not forget the infamous double knock on the table when she was done with her turn.

She was known for her love of fashion, perfectly dressed for any occasion. She would literally shine as she entered any room. From her bedazzled American flag shirt to her holiday matching pin, necklace and earrings sets, there was no question who would win best dressed. To keep up the tradition of fashionista she gifted her three granddaughters her beloved sequin Christmas blazers, they will be proudly wearing them come this Christmas.

But mostly, she will be remembered for the way she lived her life with love, laughter, kindness and the legacy left behind; her two beautiful, loving daughters, her five perfect grandchildren and her 12 great-grand angels.

Eleanor is survived by her children, Linda (Joseph) Collins and Nadine (Kelsey) Cash; her grandchildren, Stacey (Michael) Noel, Lyndsey (Jesse) Beasley, Danny Collins, Kelsey (Andy) Chen and her great grandchildren Charley (Cam) Engelka, Taylor Collins, Matthew Noel, Ethan Noel, Jesse Beasley, Ella Beasley, Tulip Collins, Sunny Collins, Anderson Chen, Phoebe Chen, Woods Collins, and Cash Chen. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Enrico Mino, parents, Julian and Frances Ludko, brother, Thomas Ludko and grandson, Scott Collins.
