Edward Brooks Moore

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Edward Brooks Moore, Jr. “Brooks”, aged 79, of Fort Mill, SC who passed away after a brave health battle.

Brooks was born on September 22, 1945 in Providence, RI to Edward Brooks Moore, Sr. and Dorthy Renehan Moore. Brooks had a number of notable career experiences that took him all over the world including work in the defense industry, boating industry as well as many entrepreneurial endeavors. Despite these great accomplishments, Brooks noted that his greatest life accomplishment was being married to his wife, Libby for 55 years.

Brooks was an avid athlete who loved skiing, football, golf, tennis and most recently pickleball. Brooks’ favorite place to be was on the sidelines cheering for his grandchildren. Brooks will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father and Poppie.

Brooks is survived by his wife Libby, daughter Caitlin Sund and her husband Brad Sund, son Joshua Moore and his fiancée Amber France, his grandchildren, Kyrie, Brooks, Olivia, Lillie and Sophia as well as his brother Barry Moore and sister in law Whitney Moore. Brooks is preceded in death by his parents Edward Brooks Moore, Sr. and Dorthy Renehan Moore.

The immediate family will gather for a private memorial.
