Edward A. Jeranek, 85 years old, of Tega Cay, SC was surrounded by family when he passed away of heart complications at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House on April 19, 2025.
Ed was born in Union, NJ. He later moved to Clark, NJ where he served in the National Guard and later as president of the local Jaycees. In 1974, Ed moved his family to Fort Mill, SC, and loved living on Lake Wylie. Boating was one of his favorite things to do. He loved having family and friends over to enjoy the lake. Ed appreciated art and enjoyed visiting museums and art festivals.
Ed was the owner of Creative Wire and Tube, a metal fabrication plant in High Point, NC, until his retirement. Then he and Kathy purchased a farm where they raised llamas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Kathy Jeranek; 4 children: Barbara (Jody), Jim, Dawn (Charlie), and Linda; 5 grandchildren: A.J. (Linda), Christy (Clint), Tommy, Lauren, and Matthew; 3 great grandchildren; and his siblings: Nancy (Derrill) and Bob (Kathy). He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sophia Jeranek.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the staff at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC, and at Atrium Health in Pineville, NC. We are so grateful for their care, kindness, and support.
