Edison Thomas White, Sr

Fort Mill - Mr. Edison Thomas White, Sr., 83, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Piedmont Medical Center.

A graveside service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at Flint Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Josh Fite officiating.

A native of Ashe, NC, Mr. White was a son of the late Edward Kerr White and Belle Smith White.  He was a graduate of Winthrop University and retired from Converse of Charlotte.  He also served his Country and retired from the Army National Guard.  He was a member of Fort Mill Church of the Nazarene where he sung in the choir.  He was a member of the Gideons International.  He was an avid Clemson Tiger fan, “Go Tigers.”

Surviving is a son, Edison (Rusty) Thomas White, Jr. and his wife, Theresa; a brother, James White; a sister, Gracie Stegall and three step-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Junior Nivens, Bob White, and Richard Nivens and Laurance Nivens; and a sister Louise Cartrette.
