Eddie Carpenter

Rock Hill - Mr. John Edward "Eddie" Carpenter, 54, died Tuesday, February 14, 2017.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2017, at Red Path Baptist Church, 814 Teaberry Lane, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Family will receive friends following the service at the church.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Carpenter was a son of the late J. D. Carpenter and Hazel Vinson Carpenter; and his biological mother, the late Dorothy Beck.

Surviving are two sons; two daughters; six brothers, Leon Carpenter, Larry Carpenter, David Carpenter, James Shackleford, Roy Carpenter, and Gerald Beck, Jr.; six sisters, Shelba Bilton, Mildred Shaver, Janette Wilburn, Marlene Godfrey, Ginger Sturgis, and Deborah Cooper. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Carpenter and Billy Carpenter; and a sister, Maxine Shackleford.
