Earl Harrington Gowan

Rock Hill - Mr. Earl Harrington Gowan, 66, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, at his home.

A celebration of life will be Wednesday, May 24th, 2017, from 1 PM until 3 PM at his residence, 663 Kendall Dr., Rock Hill.

A native of Fort Gordon, GA, Mr. Gowan was a son of the late Dr. Paul Mertins, Sr. and Ellen Shiff Gowan. He was an Army Veteran and served about 15 years. He was a proud grandfather and loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed going camping, scuba diving, and traveling. He was an animal lover, especially dogs. He was a life long member of the NRA. He worked and served as an engineer for 20 years on the light rail.

Surviving are his wife, Shaunna Steed Gowan; two sons, Tim Gowan and Tyler Gowan; two daughters, Sydney Gowan and Christina Gowan; two brothers, Paul Gowan and Karl Gowan; and three grandchildren, Savannah Gowan, Jacob Gowan, and Levi Gowan.
