Dorothy Bell Bennett

Rock Hill – Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Bell Bennett, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at her home.

A native of York County, SC Mrs. Bennett was a daughter of the late Sam Henry Boyd and Mary Giles Boyd. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed canning, gardening, crafting and life in general.

Surviving are her husband, Jerry Bennett; four children, Linda Flynn, Deloris Beverlin, Don Freeman, and Sheila DeMarco; two sisters, Sue Carswell and Carolyn Rindfuss; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sons, David and Gary Freeman; a brothers, Sunny Boyd; two sisters, Evelyn Freeman, Sarah Boyd, a great-granddaughter, Zoe Freeman.
